Open invitation to Culture Days 2015 Information Meeting May 14
BRAMPTON, ON: The City of Brampton is inviting community groups, arts and cultural organizations
and Brampton creative professionals of all kinds to a Culture Days 2015 Information Meeting on May 14.
The Culture Days Community Information Meeting will be held in Bdrm WT-2C, a second floor
boardroom in the West Tower next to City Hall, from 10 to 12 am on Thursday, May 14.
Representatives of the national Culture Days program, staff from Brampton’s Economic Development
and Tourism Office, and leaders of prominent Brampton arts and culture organizations will be on hand
to review current plans for Culture Days 2015, and highlight the ways everyone can get involved in this event.
Now in its sixth year, Culture Days invites everyone to explore, discover and participate in arts and
culture events in every community across the country. In 2014, the annual Culture Days weekend took
place in more than 800 Canadian cities and towns. In Brampton, 25 different groups presented more
than 60 interactive art and cultural experiences for more than 6,000 residents and visitors.
Local groups, businesses and artisans benefitted from the exposure that the City’s award-winning
Culture Days 2014 marketing program provided, and residents were engaged in a diverse and exciting
range of Brampton arts and culture.
Planning for Culture Days 2015 is starting. Programming this year will be combined with Doors Open
and Arts Walk of Fame events to create an arts and culture triple play in Brampton, making the
weekend of September 25 to 27 even bigger and more exciting. Be part of Culture Days 2015. Come to
the Community Information Meeting and find out how you can showcase your contribution to this
popular arts and culture weekend.
