One of the most exciting times in Brampton is upon us – it’s holiday season!
The City of Brampton will officially kick off the 2018 holiday season with Winter Lights Weekend,
featuring a flurry of epic events from November 16 to 18.
Holiday Pop-Up Shoppe
Get ready for the City of Brampton’s first ever indoor Holiday Pop-Up Shoppe, featuring one-of-a-kind
vendors at City Hall Atrium and Conservatory and creating a one-stop destination for unique gifts,
delicious food and a winter wonderland atmosphere for the whole family. This year’s market boasts
such festive features as a make-your-own ornament station, warm apple cider and talented carolers.
 Friday, November 16 from 6 to 10 pm
 Saturday, November 17 from 10 am to 10 pm
 Sunday, November 18 from 11 am to 3 pm

The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony is the official kickoff celebration for holiday season in Brampton.
Together, Bramptonians will count down to light up the City’s 60-foot spruce tree, decorated with over
10,000 Christmas lights, in Ken Whillans Square. This free event features musical entertainment
curated by B. Jazzed and a range of festive indoor and outdoor activities for the entire family.

The Brampton Santa Claus Parade
One of Brampton’s longest running traditions, the annual Brampton Santa Claus Parade is the largest
single-day event in the Region of Peel and is considered to be the largest nighttime parade in Canada.
Don’t miss the parade and your chance to welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus to Brampton. Enjoy an
evening of twinkling lights, floats, marching bands, costume characters and more.
 Saturday, November 17 from 5 to 7 pm

Come to City Hall and have your picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Everyone is welcome to
pose for a photo!
 Sunday, November 18 from 11 am to 3 pm

Free parking is available all weekend long, beginning Friday at 7 pm, in all downtown municipal
garages: City Hall, West Tower, Nelson Square, John Street and the Rose Theatre.
Everyone is encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy as a gift to support the Peel Regional Police Toys
for Tots campaign, or non-perishable food items that will be donated to Brampton-based food banks.
Donations can be dropped off at the main entrance at City Hall throughout the weekend.
