Vidya turns down Suchitra Sen biopic

Actress Vidya Balan has turned down the offer to star in the biopic on Suchitra Sen as she felt she has no physical resemblance to the late actress.

“I was offered the biopic but I am not doing it. I was surprised that it came out in the media that I agreed to do it and have even started training in Kathak. I would have loved to do it,  loved to play her on-screen,” Vidya, 37, told a leading news agency from India.

“I loved the script but I feel I have absolutely no physical resemblance with her. It is a Bengali film so I feel Raima Sen, her grand daughter, who looks like her, should be doing it,” she said.
