A 53-year-old Toronto pastor is facing charges after police say he sexually assaulted a woman while performing exorcisms on her.

Between May 2011 and May 2013, police say the man offered the woman “spiritual guidance” sessions, which included exorcisms. During the sessions, police say the pastor sexually assaulted her.

In addition to the sexual assaults, investigators say the pastor convinced the woman to give him money and property.

According to police, the man is a pastor at the United Spiritual Baptist Church, located at 787 Midland Avenue, and investigators say there may be more victims.

Wayne Marlon Jones, of Ajax, has been charged with sexual assault, and three counts of fraud over $5,000.

Anyone with information relating to this investigation is asked to contact police at 416-808-1400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
