Liberal candidate Iqra Khalid was in full swing. Hundreds gathered for an afternoon of BBQ, volunteer awards, face painting, henna and the ribbon cutting ceremony. The new office opened up at 4181 Sladeview Crescent Unit 39 in the Ridgeway and Unity Rd. area. Team Trudeau candidate Iqra Khalid greeted guests with inspiring words about her journey that led her to seek the nomination for Mississauga-Erin Mills. As a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, she plans to bring a new perspective to Ottawa on behalf of the residents. “It’s time for real change for Mississauga residents, over the past decade, Canada’s reputation on the world stage has lagged behind. Our economy has now fallen to the bottom of the G7. Steven Harper will tell you everything is working well, but the reality is quite different.” Guests for the grand opening included local MPP Harinder Takhar as well as several candidates from around the GTA.
