Congress president Sonia Gandhi has been shifted from the Army Research & Referral hospital to the Sir Ganga Ram hospital. As per reports, she has been treated earlier too at the hospital and that the medical institute has all the health records of the leader.
“After a primary health check-up she has been referred to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital,’’ said a source at Ganga Ram. According to Dr. D. S. Rana , Chairman (BOM) , Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, ” Mrs Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital under the care of Dr. Arup Basu and his team from Department of Pulmonology . She is dehydrated but is presently stable and further investigations are being conducted. She is advised rest.”
Ms.Gandhi, who was in Varanasi on Tuesday to lead the party’s massive roadshow, had to be flown back to Delhi after she fell ill. The party president had dropped out of the roadshow after she complained of uneasiness. There were also reports of her running a fever which was aggravated by the hectic road show. She was attended to by a team of doctors at the VIP lounge at the airport.
Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said earlier that her condition was stable.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on Twitter praying for Gandhi’s quick recovery.
