Shruti Seth takes on Modi.B-town supports her!

Bollywood has come in support of Shruti Seth, who was recently slammed and trolled on Twitter for calling PM Narendra Modi’s selfie with daughter initiative an ‘eyewash’. Speaking in support of the 37-year-old actress, Producer Raghu Ram tweeted, “Those who abused @SethShruti only proved her point. Selfies is not the point. Respecting women is. My irony meter just exploded.” Composer Vishal Dadlani also showed his support for the actress. “Seeing how some “brave” bhakts are “valiantly” targeting @SethShruti with filthy language & sickening, sexist comments. Wah #CowardBhakts !” he tweeted.

The controversy began when the Shararat star dared to express her views against PM Modi’s campaign on the social networking site. What followed next was a tsunami of hate tweets and trolls against the actress for the next 48 hours on the internet. Though the former VJ deleted her initial tweet, she posted an open letter to the nation on July 2 explaining why she was against the campaign despite being a mother to an 11-month-old daughter.
