Mississauga Malton Liberal Riding Association (MMFLRA) held its inaugural fundraising event for Navdeep Bains, the nominated Liberal candidate for Mississauga Malton. The special guest speaker was the Hon. Ralph Goodale. The fundraising event took place at Versailles Convention Centre on June 27th and over 700 hundred people came out in support of the MMLRA. The new riding of Mississauga Malton was created after the riding redistribution process was finalized late last year. A total of 15 new riding have been added to the province of Ontario which brings the total to 121 ridings for the upcoming federal election in 2015.
“I am honoured with the overwhelming support,” said. Bains. “People are not happy with the current government and tonight they came out to show their support and commitment to the Liberal Party and Justin Trudeau.” The inaugural fundraising event was headlined by the Hon. Ralph Goodale, the deputy of the Liberal Party who said “Canadians want change and they want and deserve a better government”. Navdeep plays a key role as Ontario co-chair in helping build a strong team that will differentiate itself from the Conservative party “one man show”.
“We are very proud of the diverse and talented team that we are building across Ontario” said Bains. Through hope and work hard work we can earn the trust of Canadians,” said Gill who is the president of the new riding association of Mississauga Malton.
