Russian President Vladimir Putin was over 70 minutes late to meet the pope when the leaders were scheduled to meet at the Vatican.President Putin is known as a man who does what he wants, and evidently that includes making his holiness wait. The pair reportedly discussed the tension and fighting in Ukraine as well as sanctions against Russia imposed by the West.
Prior to the meeting, in a rare newspaper interview, Mr Putin claimed he never makes mistakes because God “built his life so he’d have nothing to regret”.
