Toronto—Premier Kathleen Wynne and the Ontario Liberal Caucus hosted Consul General of India Akhilesh Mishra and over 100 guests at Queen’s Park yesterday at a reception to mark India’s Independence Day.

“Ontario Liberals are honoured to celebrate the 68th anniversary of India’s independence with our friends and neighbours of Indian descent in Ontario and across Canada,” Premier Wynne said. “Indo-Canadians have done so much to build our province, and to help make it the vibrant, dynamic, and successful society it is today. I want to wish all those celebrating a joyous India Independence Day.”
