Renowned business author Patrick Tinney recently held a signing at Chapters Oakville for his new business book titled Unlocking Yes – Sales Negotiation Lessons and Strategy.

Tinney, who is the Managing Partner at Centroid Training and Marketing is one of Canada’s most published business negotiation authors.He is also one of the most sought after trainer, coach and keynote speaker in Canada.

He began his sales career at the Oakville Journal Record. Following a brief stint at the Calgary Sun, he worked with Oakville Beaver. He has also worked as retail account executive for the Toronto Star.

Tinney has also handled various corporate sales and management positions in various organisations including The Southam Newspaper Group, Hollinger Inc and Can West Media.

Tinney is a Certified Print Production Practitioner. He is the founding director of Flyer Distribution Standards Association of Canada.

He is a double graduate of Sheridan College. He studied Management Studies and Advertising Program at Sheridan.

BAPS Charities Hosts ‘Understanding Canadian Immigration’ Seminar

 

On March 14, 2015, BAPS Charities hosted an informative seminar, “Understanding Canadian Immigration” in the presence of Hon. Chris Alexander, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration. This seminar was held at the magnificent BAPS Swaminarayan Complex at 61 Claireville Drive, Toronto.

 

Hon. Minister Chris Alexander, and officials from Citizenship and Immigration Canada, spoke on the very vital and sometimes complex subject of Canadian Immigration laws, in particular, outlining details of the new Express Entry Program and various other opportunities for permanent residents, landed immigrants and foreign students in Canada.

 

Special guests included, Senator Victor Oh and Ms. Lucille Leblanc, Employer Liaison Network (ELN), Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

 

Minister Alexander said, ‘Immigration from India has been strong…in many cases, India is the principal source of skills, not just for Canada, but for the global marketplace.’  He also spoke about his visit to the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, “I am a return visitor to this place and also someone who has benefitted from the strength of the BAPS network globally. I was pleased to visit Akshardham outside Delhi on my first visit to India as Canada’s Minister of Citizenship and Immigration.”
