Kabir Khan’s latest presentation — Phantom is set against the backdrop of post 26/11 terror attacks. To get the feel of the film right, Kabir had planned to shoot certain scenes of the film in Pakistan. However, due to the rising tensions between India and Pakistan, Kabir Khan then decided to recreate locations in Punjab. Cinematographer Aseem Mishra told media in India, “We created Pakistan in Malerkotla in Punjab because of its mosque, narrow lanes and overall architecture, which creates the verisimilitude of a town from Pakistan.”
