Momentum Builds for Gurpreet Bains’ Campaign

Ontario – Ms . Gurpreet Kaur Bains , candidate for Regional
Councillor in Wards 2 and 6 in Brampton, i s working hard on her campaign and the
momentum is building.
Bains was born in Toronto and raised in Brampton. After graduating from Law
School, Bains returned to Brampton to open a small independent legal practice,
employing many local resident s and granting co-op and internship opportunities to
local s tudents .
Bains has witnessed first-hand the expansion of our city and the failure of Council
to manage and support Brampton’ s rapidly growing and diverse neighbourhoods .
Bains has a vision to create a better Brampton that includes focusing on crime
prevention and community safety, improving road safety and our trans it network,
economic development and job attraction, transparency and good governance as
well as giving a stronger voice to youth and senior s .
Thi s weekend was the last opportunity for advance voting and the Bains team was
out in full force, knocking on door s and engaging with residents . Bains is fortunate
to have the support of many local organzations and community leader s . In
addition, Bains has been endorsed by LiUNA, Unifor , the Canadian Labour
Congress , Concerned Citizens of Peel as well as various Senior s Associations .
“I am so humbled by all the support I have been receiving since I decided to run for
Regional Councillor in Wards 2 and 6, ” said Bains . “We need change in Brampton
and that can only happen if we make sure everyone goes out to vote on October
