British PM Theresa May compared her Brexit battle with Brussels to Liverpool’s stirring comeback against Barcelona — risking ridicule. The football team defeated Barcelona 4-3 in the Champions League semi-final after trailing 3-0 in the first leg. May, during for her weekly question-andanswer session in parliament, said Liverpool’s win “shows us that when everyone says it’s all over, that your European opposition have got you beat, the clock’s ticking down, it’s time to concede defeat, actually we can still secure success if everyone comes together.” In response, Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn said, “In view of the amazing Liverpool victory, perhaps the PM could take tips from Jurgen Klopp on how to get a result in Europe,” in reference to Liverpool’s charismatic German manager.
