BMO IFFSA | PIFF | Toronto 2015, The Biggest South Asian Film Festival in North America had its official kick off on April 23rd at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre with a star studded press conference, reception and premiere of India’s 2014 Oscar screening of the Hindi feature film, Liar’s Dicestarring internationally acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
The launch also saw performances by Bhangra dancers and appearances by Canadian Singer and film star Rup Magon, director Babita Puri and many others from the film fraternity.
“This year’s festival is going to be bigger and better than ever with a diverse mix of 70 plus films in 11 different languages that touch on themes of South Asian culture”said festival’s Founder and President Sunny Gill. Festival also introduced Canadian Dreamz Media Inc. [CDM], a company which will be producing and distributing films and content.

More than 800 people attended the launch events with a packed theatre for thescreening of Liar’s Dice.Many dignitaries were on hand including Brampton West MP Kyle Seebackalong with representatives from festival partners including: Courtyard by Marriott Brampton, Sheridan College and The Mississauga Arts Council.
