Cleveland’s LeBron James had 28 points and 14 assists to lead the Cavaliers over Toronto 121-117, matching the best start to a season in franchise history. The Cavaliers moved to 9-1, equaling the record set in 1976-77, and are already 2-12 games clear in the Central Division, ahead of Chicago which won comfortably at Portland. The Los Angeles Lakers kept up their strong home form with victory over Brooklyn. Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving scored 24 points in another tense matchup between the teams.
