During the end of December 2017, the IT department had issued an attachment notice under Section 24 of the Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act against the actor. “But the entire process of attachment got over in the first week of January 2018,” an IT official told media in India. As of now, the IT department has also issued a showcause notice to Déjà vu Farms and Shah Rukh Khan. “From the day of provisional attachment and issuing showcause notice, the farmhouse would remain attached for 90 days. After that period, the case would be heard by appropriate authority from both sides. Till the final order comes from adjudicating authority, the property would remain with the IT department till next one year,” a statement from the department read.
