Fundraising Success for NDP’s: Harbaljit Singh Kahon
Supporters rallied behind Harbaljit Kahlon at last night’s fundraising dinner in
Brampton
BRAMPTON – Yesterday, a crowd of more than 1,000 people packed into the Shingar Banquet Hall in support of Harbaljit Singh Kahlon, the NDP candidate for Brampton East.
Attendees were welcomed by Gugni Gill Panaich, the MC for the night, and were honoured with a key note address by James E. Lockyer, the criminal defence lawyer known as Canada’s champion for the wrongly convicted.
Community support for Kahlon was on full display with an address by Dr. Fiaz of the United Community Services, Ontario NDP Deputy Leader Jagmeet Singh and School Board Trustee Harkirat Singh also addressing the crowd during the evening’s programme. Kahlon, full of optimism and genuine gratitude, thanked the attendees and his team for their endless support and continued efforts.
“I’m passionate about the determination and commitment I see from the people in this riding; hardworking, middle-class families that are striving to create a better today while securing a prosperous tomorrow for future generations,” said Kahlon. “I can’t thank everyone enough for all of the hard work and dedication that has been put into this campaign.”
Entertainment for the evening was provided by the Aujlia Brothers.
Kahlon’s passion for serving his community has led him to work for the betterment of Brampton and its residents for many years. He has been an active member of the Seva Food Bank and also worked on Jagmeet Singh’s campaign, which led to Singh’s historic win in Brampton East.
The support and commitment shown by all those who attended last night sends a clear message – Brampton East is ready for change.
