From the Police Desk 2 charged after alleged kidnapping in Mississauga

A man and a woman have been arrested and charged in an alleged kidnapping and attempted murder, which police say occurred in Mississauga this past weekend.

Peel Regional Police say that a 22-year-old Mississauga man went to a Fowler Drive residence in the early hours of Saturday morning to meet with a woman.

Shortly after he arrived, another man showed up and “confronted the victim with a loaded firearm,” police say.

Police say the woman and the man with the gun both assaulted the man and restrained him before taking him to a location a few kilometres away where he was allegedly beaten again and left unconscious.

The victim was later treated in hospital and released.

Two people have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

A 21-year-old Mississauga woman faces charges of aggravated assault, kidnapping and attempted murder.

A 37-year-old Mississauga man faces 11 charges, including aggravated assault, kidnapping and attempted murder.
