Fingerprints of Aaron Hernandez found in car

Fingerprints of Aaron Hernandez and Odin Lloyd were found in the car Hernandez allegedly used to drive Lloyd to his death.

In the murder trial of the former Patriots player, state trooper David Mackin told jurors Tuesday that analysts found Hernandez left the print on the inside handle of the driver’s door of a rented Nissan Altima. They also found the prints of Odin Lloyd.

The narrative of the murder from prosecutors posits Hernandez and his alleged accomplices Ernest Wallace and Carlos Ortiz drove Lloyd to North Attleborough industrial park where they shot and killed him.

Defense attorneys attacked the expert’s credentials and tried to dismiss the fingerprint evidence, saying it is not an “exact science.”

The defense also maintains that Lloyd was a friend of Hernandez, which speaks to lack of motive. They have also tried to block the prosecution from calling a former friend Alexander Bradley to the stand.

Hernandez allegedly shot Bradley over a bar dispute.

“Hernandez is not on trial for his lifestyle or character traits,” the defence is reported to have said. “He has been accused of a specific crime, the murder of Odin Lloyd, and he vigorously denies that allegation.”
