Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has said if the youth who had opened fire at the anti-CAA protest site in Shaheen Bagh was from AAP, he should be given “double punishment”. Kejriwal told the media that there could be no compromise on national security. “I want to urge Union Home Minister Amit Shah not to compromise on national security. Whoever is responsible for jeopardising law and order should be given strict punishment.”

Government Donates Rs 1 in Cash to Ayodhya Ram Temple Trust for Work to Begin

Modi government has made the first donation of Rs 1 in cash to the ‘Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra‘ trust to begin its work of constructing the Ram temple in Ayodhya, officials said. D Murmu, an under secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, contributed the amount to the trust on behalf of the central government. The trust will accept donations, grants, subscriptions, aids or contribution from any person in cash, kind, including immovable properties, without any conditions, the official said. .It will initially function from the residence of senior lawyer K Parasaran but will look for a permanent office later, the official said.

“CAA & NRC a Sinister Design Foiled by People,” Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury

 

The leader of Congress party in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury  attacked the government over the NRC and CAA, saying it was a “sinister design” foiled by the people.”Our people are coming out to save the Constitution from you,” he said in the lower house while participating in the debate on the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address. Referring to the CAA and NRC, he said, “It was your sinister design foiled by the common people.”
