After Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal wrote to his counterparts in Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Gujarat for premature release of 13 convicted terrorists, the Congress today asked the BJP if it would still retain alliance with the Akali Dal.“What happened to PM Narendra Modi’s commitments on national security?
Here is a CM who is openly asking his counterparts to release convicts, including those found guilty of killing former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh. We want to ask the BJP whether or not they would display the moral courage to end their alliance with the Akali Dal,” said Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi. He said all terrorists with whom Badal was sympathising were Babbar Khalsa International affiliates.
