A 35-year-old man is facing charges after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted at a TTC bus shelter in North York.

Police say a 24-year-old woman was inside a bus shelter near Leslie Street and Cummer Avenue at around 1 p.m. on Sept. 4 when a man in a gold mini-van approached her and asked for her phone number.

At that point, police say the man sexually assaulted the young woman.

Later that day, police arrested a suspect in connection with the incident.

Temuri Bachiashvili, of Toronto, has been charged with sexual assault and was scheduled to appear in court on Saturday.

Police say they believe there may be more victims and ask anyone with information to contact investigators at 416-808-3300 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
