Chandigarh born 22 years young Deepanshu Dhiman pursuing commerce and real estate at the Macquarie University in Australia has stood out in the crowd because of his sheer fortitude. Deepanshu was recently crowned Mr. India Australai and will represent Australai in the world finals in Kingston Jamaica. “I was always encouraged by my parents and friends to pursue modelling. Also, I always wanted to represent my country and I saw this pageant as an opportunity to do so,” said Deepanshu in an exclusive interview with The Asian Connections Newspaper. The pageant was judged by Bollywood Princess Soha Ali Khan from the Royal Nawab Family of India who arrived in a royal palanquin as she attracted all eyes towards her. Bowman Hall had attracted over 800 people for the Grand Finale of Miss/Mrs/Mr India Australia 2015. 30 hot and sizzling contestants from all over Australia competed for three main titles in different categories.
Deepanshu immigrated at the age of 16 to Australia along with his parents and drew inspiration from his parents, “who taught me resilience and courage”. Bruce Lee and Arjun Rampal have been his role models. He had to undergo a rigorous training,” I mainly focused on my physique and diet for two months to present myself in the best way I could. Also, I prepared for the different rounds such as the questions answer round in which, the final four contestants were asked to answer a question related to current affair,” said Deepanshu. He is now gearing to India at Mr. United Nations 2015 in Kingston, Jamaica where representatives from seventy countries are expected to compete.
