Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada mourns the loss of innocent lives in Istanbul, Turkey
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada condemns the senseless attack that took place in Istanbul and expresses its deepest condolences to the victims and families affected. It is reported that 39 people were tragically killed including a Canadian citizen and scores more were left injured in a shooting at a nightclub. This was the fourth terror attack in Turkey in less than a month. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at urges for calm and patience as authorities work swiftly to restore security and order.
Islam forbids all forms of terror and extremism. The Holy Qur’an teaches that killing even one innocent person is akin to killing all of mankind.
“We are deeply saddened by the latest attack that took place in Istanbul,” says National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada, Mr. Lal Khan Malik. “We condemn this heinous act in the strongest possible terms and offer our sincerest sympathies to the victims and their families.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama`at Canada prays for solace and fortitude for all those left bereaved or affected in any way by this tragedy.
