Kamal Khera, Member of Parliament for Brampton West and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Development, encourages the youth of Brampton West to apply to the Summer Leadership Program and to our Constituency Youth Council.

Our youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow, they are leaders today. It is vital that we involve youth in politics to help shape a better present and future. SUMMER LEADERSHIP PROGRAM :The Summer Leadership Program (SLP) is a unique political internship opportunity developed to invest in the future success of young people in this country. The program gives young people across the country vital job experience serving in the offices of our Members of Parliament, Ministers, the Prime Minister’s Office and the Liberal Research Bureau. SLP is a full-time, paid internship over the summer. Applications are now open and will close on February 10, 2020. The program commences May 4th, 2020. CONSTITUENCY YOUTH COUNCIL :At our office, we believe that young people have the power to change their communities, and the world. Constituency Youth Council (CYC) is a volunteer opportunity for youth aged 14 – 24 years old. The program starts this February, 2020 and allows youth to have their voice heard on policy issues facing Canada. This program is their chance to learn about Canada’s political process and most importantly, get involved in their community. The deadline to apply is January 28th, 2020.
