The three bodies found in a burnt car near Barrie, Ont., last week are those of a Mississauga father and his two sons. Samuel Masih and his two sons were first reported missing in Peel Region last week. Police began an investigation.

A few hours later, a vehicle fire was reported on Holick Road in Oro-Meedonte Township, near Barrie. Three bodies were found inside the vehicle.

Testing has since identified the remains of the 36-year-old Masih and his four- and 10-year-old sons. At this point, police say they believe the person responsible for the deaths is among the deceased. Police are not releasing a cause of death at this time.

The circumstances remain under investigation by the OPP.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
