Panel Chair
The Honourable William G. Davis P.C., C.C., Q.C.
Former Premier of Ontario
Mr. Davis served as the 18th Premier of Ontario from 1971 to 1985. He was first elected to the Ontario Legislature in 1959 and has served in a number of portfolios including Minister of Education and Minister of University Affairs. He is a lifelong resident of Brampton and has served as a director for a number of organizations.

Jaipaul Massey-Singh
Chair, Brampton Board of Trade
Mr. Massey-Singh currently serves as Chairman of Board for the Brampton Board of Trade. He is also President of JMS Group, a consultancy supporting organizations looking to improve profits and sustainability through green business strategies, operational processes and technology. In addition, he is also the Executive Director of the Wise Elephant Family Health Team, a group of integrated family medicine practices and wellness clinics in Brampton. He is a resident of Brampton with his wife and two children.

Doctor, Brampton Civic Hospital, William Osler Health System
Dr. Bajwa is an Emergency Room physician with the William Osler Health System. In addition to his demanding profession, he is an active member of the community.
Rumi Chunara, Ph.D
Assistant Professor, New York University (NYU)
Ms. Chunara is an Assistant Professor at New York University (NYU), in Computer Science & Engineering and the Global Institute of Public Health. She was previously at HealthMap and the Children’s Hospital Informatics Program at Harvard Medical School. She completed her PhD at the Harvard-MIT Division of Health, Sciences and Technology. Ms. Chunara grew up in Brampton.
Neil G. Davis
Partner, Davis Webb LLP
Mr. Davis is an experienced and sought after advocate in land matters and represents land developers and real estate owners on all aspects of their activities. He also advises businesses on corporate and commercial matters. He is counsel and advisor to many public, political and charitable organizations including the William Osler Health System Board. Mr. Davis is also the current Chair of the WOHS Peel Community Partners Task Force.
Ranjit Dhaliwal
Mortgage intelligence/Financial Analyst
Mr. Dhaliwal is a Mortgage Broker with Mortgage Intelligence. He provides his clients with wealth building strategies and has previously appeared on BNN and CBC. He resides in Brampton and is an active member of the community.
Gurpreet Dhillon
City Councillor, Brampton Wards 9 & 10
Councillor Dhillon was elected Brampton City Councillor, Wards 9 & 10 in October 2014. He is a community leader, athlete, business analyst, and youth organizer. For the past 15 years he has dedicated himself to the community, working with and empowering at-risk young people through sports. He founded the MVP Basketball academy, served on the Toronto Police Service’s South Asian Consultative Committee and is currently a Community Ambassador for the Brampton A’s – a Canadian professional basketball team. He resides in Brampton with his wife and two children.

Winston Isaac, Ph.D
Associate Professor, Ryerson University
Mr. Isaac has been associated with the School of Health Services Management, Ryerson University since 1995 – first as a part-time instructor and later as a faculty member teaching health policy and health human resource management. He was the Director of the School for one 5-year term after completing a one-year interim Directorship. He received the honour of “Alumnus of Distinction” by the Michener Institute and was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Central West Local Health Integration Network (CW LHIN).
Ranjit Katkhar
Peel Poverty Action Group & Former Vice Principal, Brampton Centennial Secondary School
Mrs. Katkhar was an educator for 33 years, a former high school vice principal and is a community activist who is passionate about the importance of community involvement in schools. She taught for over 25 years in the Peel District School Board. She has chaired the provincial Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation, Human Rights Committee and was the founding member and president of the South Asian Teachers Organisation from 1993- 2007. She was also a member of the Anti-racist Advisory Committee with the Ontario Ministry of Education. Currently, Mrs. Katkhar is actively involved in Transformative Social Change initiatives with many partnering universities and community members.
Martin Medeiros
Regional Councillor, Brampton Wards 3 & 4
Councillor Medeiros was elected Regional Councillor from Brampton, Wards 3 & 4 in October 2014. He is the first Regional Councillor from Brampton of Portuguese descent. Prior to seeking public office, Councillor Medeiros worked in the Ontario Public Service with a variety of ministries including: Citizenship and Immigration, Training, Colleges and Universities, Intergovernmental Affairs, Community Safety and Correctional Services, Government Services, Children and Youth Services and Energy. He has been active member of the community since his youth and resides in Brampton with his wife and two children.
Gael Miles
Regional Councillor, Brampton Wards 7 & 8
Councillor Miles was first elected to Brampton City Council in 1988 and in 1991 was elected to serve as one of Brampton’s Regional Councillors. Throughout her career, she has identified safety, health, and prosperity as her priorities, and believes each of these to be essential to preserving Brampton’s quality of life. She dedicates her time as a Councillor, and a citizen, to these issues. As part of her commitment to health, it was Councillor Miles’ vision and effort that brought Wellspring, a full-service support centre for individuals and families coping with cancer, to the City of Brampton in 2008. She resides in Brampton with her husband and has two children.

Terry Miller
Former Brampton City Councillor
Mr. Miller was an active educator in Ontario for 35 years and retired in 2005. During that time he worked for school boards in Sault Ste. Marie, Etobicoke and Dufferin Peel. He was a classroom teacher, a Coordinator of Co-op Education, Vice Principal, Principal and Superintendent of Human Resources and Planning and Associate Director of Education. Mr. Miller also served as a City of Brampton and Peel Regional Councillor and as Vice Chair of the Central West Local Health Integration Network. He has been active with various professional and community organizations He and his wife Rosemary have been Brampton residents since 1966. They have two daughters.
Dr. Naveed Mohammed
Vice President of Medical Affairs, William Osler Health System
Dr. Mohammad was appointed Vice President, Medical Affairs for the William Osler Health System in July 2012. In this role, he leads organization-wide improvement initiatives working with physicians across Osler’s two hospital sites. He joined Osler in 1997 as an emergency physician at Etobicoke General and has held a number of physician leadership roles of increasing responsibility including being named Etobicoke General Site Chief, Emergency Medicine in 2001and Chief Emergency Services in 2006.
Sandip Rana
Chief Financial Officer, Franco-Nevada Corporation
Mr. Rana rejoined Franco-Nevada in April 2010. He previously served in treasurer and controller roles at the original Franco-Nevada until 2002 and then acted as an international controller for Newmont Mining Corporation. From 2003 to April 2010, Mr. Rana held financial roles at Four Seasons Hotels Limited where he most recently served as Vice-President Corporate Finance. Mr. Rana is a Chartered Professional Accountant and resides in Brampton with his wife and two children.

Founder and Lead Career Strategist at The Wright Career Solution
Ms. Wright is founder and Lead Career Strategist at The Wright Career Solution a career transition firm providing resume writing and career services to aspiring managers, managers, and emerging executives. She also is author of the best-selling book “No Canadian Experience, Eh? A Career Survival Guide for New Immigrants.” Her corporate background includes a stint with the United Nations in New York. She is a former instructor in the Faculty of Business at Sheridan College, where she taught Business Communication and other courses.
