The Supreme Court is expected to name new BCCI administrators on Friday, January 20, instead of January 19.  “The case has been listed for January 20 and I am speaking to my lawyers as petitioner that I will also propose a few names for administrators’ post,” said Aditya Verma, secretary of the unsanctioned Cricket Association of Bihar. There is a possibility that an eminent member from the judiciary is entrusted with the job, apart from a member of CAG and a former cricketer.

Lodha reforms: BCA prez Siddiqui latest to quit

Bihar finance minister Abdul Bari Siddiqui has ceased to be the president of the Bihar Cricket Association.  The association decided to adopt the Lodha Committee reforms, which disqualify Siddique to be an office-bearer as he’s a minister, at its managing committee meeting on Sunday. “We held a meeting after receiving a letter from Rahul Johri (CEO of the Board of Control for Cricket in India) on January 9. The BCA has decided to adopt all the reforms of the Lodha Committee. Accordingly, Siddique, who’s no more the BCA president, didn’t attend the meeting. The meeting was presided by vice-president Mohammad Mumtazuddin. He’s pro-V-C in Mithila University,“ BCA secretary Mritunjay Tiwary told media in India. The BCA was awarded an associate membership by the BCCI on January 19 last year, but has become a full member following the SC order to accept the Lodha reforms.
