Arshad hosts ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’

Stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma who suffered a slip disc has been advised bed rest. In the meantime, some Bollywood actors will be replacing him as the host of the popular show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil.’

Actor Arshar Warsi has already shot an episode as the host of ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’. The ‘Jolly LLB’ star played host to Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and Tabu who came on the show to promote their upcoming film ‘Drishyam’.

The actor took to Twitter on July 14 to share the news. “OMG.. Had an Awesome time with Ajay D, Tabu & Shriya Saran at Comedy Night’s with Kapil. I hosted the show, hope you like it,” he posted on Twitter.Arshad who is famed for his comic roles followed with another tweet: “Back in Goa… Can’t get over the fun I had last night at Comedy nights with Kapil…”

According to reports, Sajid Khan has also been roped in to shoot an episode of the show in Kapil’s absence.Kapil suffered the injury while working out and is out of action for a couple of weeks. “We earlier thought Kapil will be missing for three weeks, but he is recovering and is expected to cut short the break,” a source associated with the show said.

Before going on break, Kapil shot the last episode with Salman Khan who was there to promote his film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ releasing on July 17.‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ which began in 2013 has become one of the hot spots for Bollywood stars to promote their films.

Meanwhile, Kapil will be soon making his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’ which is slated to hit theatres on September 25. The film also stars Arbaaz Khan, Manjari Fadnis, Simran Kaur Mundi and Elli Avram. The comedy drama has been directed by popular duo Abbas-Mustan and is produced under the banner Venus Records & Tapes Pvt Ltd and Abbas Mustan Films.
