Television has taken inspiration from movies several times in the past. Now, an upcoming show might be based on two of Akshay Kumar’s films. While the show’s title is named after the actor’s latest release, the plot is apparently inspired from his other film, Entertainment (2014). The comedy show stars Jayati Bhatia and Vahbiz Dorabjee, among others. “The show isn’t a copy of Entertainment. But, it is true that the serial has a dog in a prominent role, and its presence leads to many twists in the story. It’s a family show, and the dog is an integral part of the story,” Jayati told a leading TV channel of India. The 2014 film revolved around the story of Akhil (Akshay), who learns that he will inherit 3,000 crore after his father’s death, a diamond baron. But soon, he finds out that the empire is actually inherited by Entertainment, his father’s dog.
