Make that Canada’s got talent!

Roberta Battaglia, the 11-year-old singing sensation from the GTA, is headed into the America’s Got Talent finals on Sept. 22-23 after a beyond-her years performance of Pink’s What About Us on the show (seen on Citytv in Canada) Tuesday night and getting enough votes Wednesday night.

“I’m feeling so grateful! Oh, my God!” said a tearful Battaglia as she sunk to her knees Wednesday after finding out the results.

“Thank you so much America! Thank you for voting!”

The grand prize is $1 million US or as judge and fellow Torontonian Howie Mandel joked on Tuesday night, “with the exchange it’ll be worth $1.25 million.”

“I am so proud of you, for so many different reasons, not only because I think you’re great but you’re from Toron-to!” said Mandel.

Battaglia, who has been singing since she was just three with her musician dad, Alessandro, at festivals and at weddings all over the GTA, will be one of 10 final contestants.

“I really hope that you win!” said judge Sofia Vergara on Tuesday night.

The young Canadian singer with the big voice nailed her AGT auditions with a powerful rendition of Lady Gaga’s Shallow that scored a golden buzzer from Vergara which guaranteed her a spot in the live elimination rounds in Hollywood.

At the time of the auditions, all four judges, including Simon Cowell and Heidi Klum rushed to their feet, joining the standing ovation from the crowd.

Cowell, who is currently sitting out his judging duties after back surgery, called Battaglia “likable” and “humble” at the time.
