Investigators from the Peel Regional Police’s Special Victims Unit have arrested and charged a 73 year-old-male in relation to historical sexual assault investigation.
In May of 2018, a 56 year-old-male victim advised investigators of a series sexual assaults that occurred in the early 1970’s.
On June 10, 2018, 73 year-old Alonzo LEVESQUE of L’lle-Bizzard Quebec, was arrested and charged with four counts of sexual assault.
LEVESQUEwas held for a Bail Hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice that took place on June 11, 2018.
In the 1970’s LEVESQUE had been a referee with a hockey league in the City of Toronto. LEVESQUE has also been employed as a superintendent of various apartment buildings in Toronto and in the City of Brampton.
Investigators from the Peel Regional Police’s Special Victims Unit believe that there may be more victims.
