Released early due to typo?

A  Vancouver-area gangster was released from prison 16 months earlier than he should have been due to a typo, according to Parole Board of Canada documents.

According to a parole board decision, file documents stated Jarrod Bacon was serving a sentence of seven years and two months when his sentence was actually nine years and two months. Bacon was granted a statutory release on Feb. 11, 2017 due to confusion over how much credit he received for time served.

According to the parole board decision, Bacon should have been released on June 14, 2018. He was originally sentenced to 12 years minus time served. Following his release last year, Bacon was arrested for breaking his conditions after he was found in a strip bar with a known criminal.
