Indo-Jazz group – the Aditya Prakash Ensemble from California Coming to Mississauga for One Performance Only

Mississauga, ON – The Aditya Prakash Ensemble is heading north and bringing their signature sound to Canada for their one night only performance at Sampradaya Theatre in Mississauga on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 7:30pm as part of Sampradaya Dance Creations signature concert series, the Kalangan Series: World of South Asian Art.
This group of young musicians from Los Angeles, California are known for their blending of traditional Indian vocals and ragas with Western instrumental accompaniment that comes together through the inspiration and vision of lead vocalist, Aditya Prakash. They have been getting attention in the music world for their unique style and exceptional live performances in the US and India. Sampradaya is excited to be the first to introduce the Aditya Prakash Ensemble to a Canadian audience and the group is equally excited to be bringing their cool sound to Mississauga.
Showcasing the richness and diversity of South Asian art in performance is the focus of Sampradaya’s Kalangan Series which over the years has featured exceptional artists from Canada and around the world. “Sampradaya is always keeping its ear to the ground to find what is happening internationally and the Aditya Prakash Ensemble is such an excellent example of blending both Western and South Asian culture in a infectious way that we had to be sure to catch these rising stars to bring them to our city now!” says, Artistic Director, Lata Pada. The scheduled program will be 75 minutes of performance time followed by a talk-back session with the artists.
Tickets to see the Aditya Prakash Ensemble in concert can be purchased by calling the Sampradaya office at 905-607-8434 and will be available at the door on the performance day. SAMPRADAYA Dance Creations is a Canadian, Mississauga-based professional dance company specializing in the creation and production of classical and contemporary dance works rooted in the tradition of bharatanatyam, a South Asian dance form. Founded in 1990 by Lata Pada, CM accomplished
dancer and choreographer, the Company continues to inspire audiences with annual productions produced locally and internationally while continuing to nurture the talents of emerging young dancers.
