The Portfolio as Conceptual Passport is a workshop exploring the modern portfolio. An artist’s portfolio manifests itself in various incarnations and as a fixture of the artist’s identity. A strong portfolio is a passport; allowing the artist to navigate the business of art.
The workshop will explore:
Creating Your Portfolio
Art Direction/ Editing/ Presentation
Creating a Visual Identity
The Portfolio in Social Media
The Portfolio in The Hands of Your Audience
The objective of the workshop is to heighten awareness of portfolio development and establish the value of a well-planned and executed portfolio; treating the process of creating portfolios as an evolutionary tool essential for artistic growth.
It will invigorate students of any discipline, and arm you with a new ambition to take ownership of your portfolio as a body of work to share with your contemporaries and clients.
