3 POLICEMEN, 1 CIVILIAN HURT IN SRINAGAR GRENADE BLAST

Three policemen, a CRPF trooper and a civilian were injured in a grenade blast on at Khanyar, Srinagar. As per reports, militants lobbed a grenade towards a naka party near the Khanyar police station resulting in injuries to the three policemen, one of them being an assistant sub-inspector, a CRPF jawan and a pedestrian. This is the first grenade attack in Downtown after about ten months. Last time such incident occurred during the last year’s assembly election campaign rally. Meanwhile, the injured were taken to the hospital and the Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched searches in the whole area to nab the perpetrators.
