On Thursday April 7th, William Osler Health System (Osler) Foundation kicked off the public portion of its $30 million fundraising campaign for the new Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness (Peel Memorial) at Brampton City Hall.

Peel Memorial is a new, state-of-the-art hospital that is currently being constructed in downtown Brampton. Providing complimentary services to Brampton Civic Hospital, Peel Memorial will also offer a range of specialty clinics, day programs and services – from high-tech diagnostics and surgery, to women’s and children’s health.

While the government will pay 90 percent of the cost of construction, Osler Foundation must raise $30 million through the community to help complete the construction and to provide 100% of the funds to equip the facility. That represents everything from the waiting room chairs to high-tech diagnostic equipment.

As such, it is important that the message get out to the community, both about the new facility and the need for funds. We would really appreciate you covering the launch. To make things easier, we are attaching both a matte story as well as some photos with captions you could utilize. Please see below for the captions.

Osler Foundation’s You Have The Power campaign for Peel Memorial features real patients with real stories. Pictured below is a baby who arrived a little earlier than expected. Today, she is healthy and growing. She and her mother will turn to Peel Memorial for years to come as she grows into adulthood.

If you need anything else to make this happen, we are happy to oblige. Please confirm you are able to help. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Regards,

Osler Foundation
