Why is Punjab Best place to murder an NRI?

Three days after the Punjab police claimed that the ‘missing’ UK-based NRI Ranjit Singh Power has been murdered, it has recovered his body from a Bhakra distributory near Ambala.  The body was fished out from Bhakra distributory in Ambala. One of the arrested accused has confessed that they had thrown the body in the Bhakra canal near Anandpur Sahib on June 8 after strangulating Power to death.Hotelier Power was allegedly kidnapped and murdered by UK-based NRI Baldev Singh Deol few days ago. The hotelier went missing while on a business trip to Punjab.

Anger had evoked among Punjabi Diaspora after the news reports of murder of U.K.Hotlier Ranjit Singh Powar who was on a business trip to Punjab. Expressing his anguish and concern about the murder of Ranjit Singh Powar, executive director of North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) Satnam Singh Chahal said after the murder of Ranjit Singh Powar Punjabi Diaspora is living under the shadow of fear and insecurity. This is more than unfortunate that he was abducted in the spot day light from the international airport and later murdered near Anandpur Sahib.He questioned that why  Criminal persons are choosing a safe and secure place to Punjab to abduct or murder any NRI visiting Punjab. There should be proper investigation that why the criminals are choosing Punjab the best safe place for these kinds of crimes. Chahal urged to the investigating law enforcement agencies to make this part of their investigation if there is any hand of any big politicians or government officials behind this murder.
