On a brief break in which he has skipped the T20I series against the West Indies, Kohli recorded the video as part of the promotions for his new app in New Delhi. It was released on his 30th birthday on Monday. In a section where he reacted to negative tweets sent to him, Kohli is seen replying to a critic who said that he prefers English and Australian batsmen over him. Kohli replied by saying that he should not live in India and asked him to get his priorities straight for “loving other countries”. Kohli’s curt response has seen him being heavily trolled by Twitterati, with many criticizing the skipper for his “attitude,” and “arrogance.”

In response, Kohli said, “OK, I don’t think you should live in India then, you should go and live somewhere else no. Why are you living in our country and loving other countries? I don’t mind you not liking me but I don’t think you should live in our country and like other things. Get your priorities right.” Kohli’s response has seen him being trolled by Twitterati, with many criticizing the skipper for his “attitude,” and “arrogance.” Many questioned the run-machine for his ‘hypocrisy’ considering that he endorses multiple foreign brands while some even went on to remind Kohli of his statement during the U-19 World Cup in 2008, wherein he said that his favourite cricketer was former South African opener Herschelle Gibbs. Kohli’s statement hasn’t gone down well with the BCCI top brass too, considering that it came from the Indian captain.
