Serbia bans Kosovo karate squad from entering country for Euro C’hips
Serbia prevented the Kosovo karate squad from entering the country to participate in the European Championships, officials in Belgrade have said. Kosovo unilaterally declared independence from Serbia in 2008, but Belgrade still does not recognise the separation. Relations between the two nations, who fought an 18-month war in the late 1990s, remain tense. The former foes have to discuss the organisation of ethnic Serb municipalities in Kosovo.
Johnson determined to defend top spot at Players Championship
World No. 1 Dustin Johnson is determined to hang on to his spot at the top of the rankings as he faces a strong challenge from as many as four rivals at The Players Championship. Johnson, 33, has held top spot for 64 weeks since winning last year’s Genesis Open, but is now looking nervously over his shoulder at a crowded field of pretenders to his throne.
