Heart touching moments as members of WEConnect Community celebrated festival of Eid with Seniors in Richmond Hill

WEConnect is the organisation working at grass root level towards the real empowering of humanity, love and compassion. They connect communities and empower people. This is what the world needs at the moment. The organization provides an extended helping hand through its dedicated staff & volunteers to lessen the misery and touch the hearts of those in need.

It started with helping women to fight the challenges and taking charge of self. With hearts full of love and compassion dedicated to serve the humanity with no barriers of cast, creed or nationality these women have come a long way. Today well known for their Socialwork oriented programs and services,  WEConnect has made a niche for itself, empowered by like minded people following the philosophy of Human First.

September 1, 2017 witnessed a celebration of Eid festival with dedicated staff and volunteers of WEConnect at a Seniors long term facility in Richmond Hill.  This pure celebration of love and compassion, dignity and dedication within was deciphered in the form of music and dancing movements lead by duo Munni and Afzal Subhani. The musical Qawwali of bollywood created an ambience of Eid in the lounge area of seniors home. The colourful attire exuberated that love in hearts, rhythmic movements of hands and facial expressions brought the old memories back. This Eid, the health limitations, likes of dementia, Alzheimer’s, language barriers were all overpowered by the music, and new friendships. The sight was never to be forgotten with the beautiful smiles. Some of the female seniors beautifully dressed in cultural attire adding even more brightness to the occasion. Eyes of each participant present there spoke only one language – that of love and connectedness.
