Traffic Stop Leads to Seizure of Loaded Firearm

Officers from Peel Regional Police 21 Division have arrested a male for being in possession of a loaded handgun during a traffic related incident in Brampton.

On Monday January 22, 2018 at approximately 9:00 p.m. police investigated a motor vehicle on Dixie Road and Howden Boulevard in the City of Brampton. The driver of the vehicle fled on foot and was arrested a short distance away. As a result of the investigation it was revealed that the occupant in the vehicle was in possession of a loaded pistol. 

Delon GREEN, a 19 year old male from Brampton was arrested and charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was Firearm, Carless Storage of Firearm, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Possession for the Purpose, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Operation While Disqualified, Breach of Probation Order, and Drive Under Suspension.

Delon GREEN was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the A. Grenville & William Davis Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton on Tuesday January 23, 2018.
