Three Arrested in Residential Search Warrant Following Commercial Robbery

Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau have charged three youths following a commercial robbery in the City of Mississauga.

On Friday March 16, 2018 at approximately 8:45 p.m., three male suspects entered a commercial store in the area of Bristol Road East and Hurontario Street in the City of Mississauga. The suspects had their faces concealed, and were armed with an assault rifle and a large kitchen knife.  The suspects pointed the rifle at the sales clerk demanding to open the safe. The suspects fled in a stolen vehicle with a total of 89 iPhones and Canadian currency.

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries during the robbery.

On Saturday March 17, 2018 the Central Robbery Bureau executed a residential search warrant in the area of Trailview Lane and Cedargrove Road in the City of Bolton.

During the search warrant, police seized the 89 assorted iPhones stolen during the robbery, a replica AK-47 air soft rifle and the knife used during the robbery as well as clothing worn during the robbery. The stolen vehicle was also recovered. The total value of property recovered was in excess $100,000.

As a result, three youths were arrested and have been charged with the following:

A 17 year-old male of Brampton was charged with Robbery, Use Imitation Firearm, Disguise with Intent, Possession of Stolen Property, Breach of Recognizance, and Breach of Probation.

Another 17 year-old male of Brampton was charged with Robbery, Use Imitation Firearm, Disguise with Intent, Possession of Stolen Property, and Breach of Probation.

A 16 year-old male of Brampton was charged with Robbery, Use Imitation Firearm, Disguise with Intent, Possession of Stolen Property, Breach of Undertaking, and Breach of Probation.

All three males were released with a future court date in April, 2018.

A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person and, therefore, the identities of the Young Persons charged in this investigation are protected.

During the execution of the search warrant, police encountered an aggressive dog that had to be put down for officer safety reasons.
