Swara Bhaskar trolled for masturbation scene in ‘Veere Di Wedding’

‘Veere Di Wedding’ mints in Rs 42 crore in four days

Shashankh Ghosh’s directional venture ‘Veere Di Wedding’ starring Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania are going great guns at the box-office. The film has earned Rs 42 crore in four days and still going strong. It is expected that the movie will cross 100 crore mark in few days.

‘Veere Di Wedding’ released last Friday is collecting big bucks at the box-office but at the same time one of the leading female stars of the movie, Swara Bhaskar who played Sakshi in the movie was badly trolled for the masturbation scene in the film. Few claimed that they went to see the movie with their grandmothers and got embarrassed.

A tweet reads, “Hey @ReallySwara just watched #VeereDiWedding with my grandmother. We got embarrassed when that masturabation scene came on screen. As we came out of the theater my grandmother said I’m hindustani and I am ashamed of #VeereDiWedding,” the tweets read.

A section of the internet backed Swara. One user tweeted, “Why are so many sanskari people watching #VeereDiWedding with their grandmothers?”

Attacking back at trolls, Swara wrote: “Looks like a certain IT cell sponsored the tickets – or definitely the tweets.” Responding to another user, Swara added: “I wish paid trolls would at the very least re-arrange the sentences and run a spell check before their paid tweet attacks #PaidTrollsKiPolKhulGayi.”
