The 11 students arrested for waving black flags at Chief Minister Yogi Aditynath and raising slogans against him have been denied bail for the second time.

They have been charged with serious criminal offences, including IPC section 120 B (hatching criminal conspiracy). Remarkably same charges were slapped by special CBI court against against BJP leaders LK Advani, MM Joshi, Uma Bharti and others by the  for the demolition of Babri Masjid.

Additional District and Sessions Judge (II) Rajesh Kumar  denied bail to the students as he did not receive any report from the police station. The matter will now come up for hearing on June 16. The expelled Lucknow University students, including two girls, are associated with Samajwadi Party’s student wing Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha.

They were arrested on June 7 for reportedly breaching CM’s security as they waved black flags and raised anti-Yogi slogans during his visit to the university. On June 9, a lower court rejected their bail application on the ground that they had been held under serious charges, including sections 353 (using criminal force to deter public servant) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
