The City of Brampton has a plan to move the city forward. A plan to become a connected city that is innovative, inclusive and bold.
Part of this plan involves building strong communities. Lively, connected spaces unite people and businesses and instill civic pride. The design of a city influences how we live, work and move around. What makes a great city? Is it the architecture of its buildings? Is it the design of its parks, squares and streets? Or is it about the design of places ‘in between’? Join us to discuss.
Gary Gaston, Executive Director of the Nashville Civic Design Center, and Parvathi Nampoothri, Senior Advisor with PLURAL Architecture+Design in Toronto, will lead a conversation on the role of streets and the public realm in establishing vibrant and healthy communities.
Date: Tuesday, June 14
Time: 5 – 7 pm
Location: City Hall Atrium
2 Wellington Street, Brampton
