“It is completely unacceptable that Kathleen Wynne and her Liberal government have allowed Ontario’s publicly-funded schools to fall into such a deep state of disrepair.

As a father of two young sons and the School Board Trustee for Scarborough-Rouge River I am extremely concerned by this government’s lack of investment in the education of our children.

Wearing a coat inside on a cold day in January, becoming dehydrated because a classroom is too hot, or getting wet while sitting at a desk because the roof of your school is leaking are not realities that our kids should have to face, particularly when they are trying to learn.

A classroom should be a safe and welcoming space.  We need immediate investment in the physical infrastructure of our schools.  It’s obvious that Kathleen Wynne just doesn’t prioritize our children or their futures.

Ontario’s students and their families deserve better from Wynne and her government.  They deserve an education that challenges and inspires them to be active participants in our thriving province.  They deserve a government that respects them and invests in their future.”
