Shots fired near child’s birthday party

Peel police are investigating after shots were fired very close to a child’s birthday party in Mississauga.

Investigators say the party was being held at a complex near Glen Erin Drive and Britannia Road on Friday. Around 9:45 p.m., someone called police.

The gunshots weren’t at the party, police said, but they were very close to it. Police aren’t sure if anyone at the party had anything to do with the shooting.

No injuries have been reported.
