  • Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi launched a strong attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, blaming government’s policies in Jammu and Kashmir for ceding space to terrorists. He linked the killing of seven Amarnath pilgrims and Narendra Modi’s Kashmir policy, Gandhi tweeted: “Modi’s policies have created space for terrorists in Kashmir. This is a grave strategic blow for India.Short-term political gain for Modi from PDP alliance has cost India massively.”Without referring directly to the killing of pilgrims, he sought to blame the PM directly for the Amarnath attack. “Modi’s personal gain is equal to India’s strategic loss and sacrifice of innocent Indian blood,” he wrote.

BSP leader’s daughter among six booked for thrashing girl students

Uttar Pradesh Police have arrested six people who had allegedly barged into a girls’ public school alongwith the daughter of former minister and BSP leader Hazi Yakoob Qureshi and thrashed a girl student inside a classroom. While the former minister’s daughter could not be arrested due to protest by locals, police said they were trying to seek the arrest warrant for her and others named in the FIR.Aasma, along with her aides, reportedly, used a wooden cane to thrash the Class 8 girl in the presence of teacher and other girls inside the classroom. In CCTV footage, the minister’s daughter was seen carrying a cane, her aides using foul language and also pushing the class teacher trying to rescue the girl. It all started when the victim, a minor, reportedly informed the teacher that two of her classmates had bunked the school on that day.

 

Lands in Qatar to find “he” has travelled back !

A Telangana man, who went to Qatar for a job, found to his utter shock that another man had travelled on his passport back to India. After his agent took away his passport soon after he landed in the Gulf, 41-year-old Shravan Kandlee of Adilabad lodged a complaint with the local police about it only to discover that someone had used it to return to India.

 “I cannot understand how this can happen. I am in great distress. Qatar police informed me that as per their records, someone had travelled on my passport to India,“ Shravan is reported to have told a leading TV channel from India. Shravan said he had made trips to the Indian Embassy in Qatar, which initially helped him with some money to be able to meet his daily expenditure. Shravan said, “Till date, I do not know who travelled on my passport.”
